Course Description The purpose of Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is to present core-level knowledge, refine skills and build a firm foundation in trauma nursing. The TNCC is a 16-hour course designed to provide the learner with cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills to better assess and treat the pediatric or trauma patient. This course includes lecture and hands-on skill stations covering assessment and treatment of the severely injured patient. The verification card is valid for four years and successful completion of the TNCC course includes passing a multiple-choice examination and demonstrating critical steps of the skill stations.
