MOD EDIT: As we wait for the files from the old forum to be transferred in, I have temporarily hosted the owner's and service manuals at a site called box.net. Click on the links below and it should automatically take you a page where all three files are visible. They are PDF files and you can save them to your computer. If anyone has any issues, contact 'jonathan180iq' or 'Admin' and we can send you the files directly. Thanks for being patient.

Owners Manual - PDF File (3. GZ250 Parts Manual (.Bonus. 4. GZ125 Parts Manual (:cool. On page 45 it says to 'Remove the rubber cap and then turn the slotted end of cam chain tension adjuster.in the CLOCKWISE direction. I did that, and it just tightened the spring and when I let go it recoiled. I turned it COUNTER CLOCKWISE, and it seemed to 'lock the push rod'.

Anyone else agree on this??? Agreeing with TommyJoeBilly here. On my 02 gz250. To lock the cam chain tensioner so as to remove it from the engine, i had to turn the slot screwdriver COUNTER clockwise, for it to tighten and lock. Turning it clockwise as the manual states just twists the spring, which make the screwdriver want to twist back, unless you really really keep twisting clockwise, at which point you break the tensioner spring. So now i know the manual is wrong.:).

Hi nanafry, I have a VL 125 which is the same as your 250 in most every respect (we're restricted to 125s on L plate over here). I've uploaded a manual to. There was very good tech/maintenance on the Italian Intruder Owners Club site but they are updating the tech area at the moment. I recommend this site. All the mech/tech info is in English and the Italian language menu bar is pretty easy to understand:.

If you need advice on customising/accessorising let me know. The test over here in the UK has recently become much extended (CBT, Theory, Hazard Perception, off-road test track manoeuvering and on-road test) so I've spent time making the VL a decent machine to ride on plates and the true cruiser it was meant to be. Upgrades include straight thru Custom Wings exhausts (really loud), Highway Hawk mini apes, Ledrie saddlebags, chromed forks and engine covers (like your 250), forward controls (from Germany) and VL250 chrome chain-exit covers and front indicator covers (from Suzuki in Sydney!).

I've also fitted a Harley Sporster front fender and Harley rear pillion pad. Looks an absolute treat - but with twice the power, you'd still beat me from the lights! Hope the manual helps keep your machine the way you want it - stay safe and ride free. Yorkshire Biker.

I have been reading the manual and I've found several pages missing. It's missing the parts related to 'Fuel and Lubrication system' (4) and 'Chassis' (5) and 'Servicing Information' (7) Would it be possible to get it?
